煒[焊-干+(共-八+(傘-(企-止)))]（上韋鬼反毛詩傳云煒赤色貌也說文煒盛赤也從火違聲下央業反說文作燁亦盛也從火[日/((傘-(企-止))-┬+ㄎ)]聲詩云燁燁震電也經從華作[膜-旲+((傘-(企-止))-┬+干)]隸書字也[日/((傘-(企-止))-┬+ㄎ)]音同上）。

Wěiyè 煒[焊-干+(共-八+(傘-(企-止)))] (The upper character is fanqie 韋鬼 [wěi]. The Mao-school commentary on the Classic of Poetry says: 'wěi 煒 is the appearance of bright red'. The Shuowen jiezi says: 'wěi means brilliant red; with radical huǒ 火 and wéi 違 phonetic'. The lower character is fanqie 央業 [yè]. The Shuowen jiezi writes it as yè 燁, also meaning brilliant; with radical huǒ 火 and [日/((傘-(企-止))-┬+ㄎ)] phonetic. The Classic of Poetry says: 'Flashes of lightning flare brightly'. In the sūtra text, it is written with huā 華 as [膜-旲+((傘-(企-止))-┬+干)], a clerical script character; [日/((傘-(企-止))-┬+ㄎ)] has the same pronunciation as above).
