晨朝（上食人反爾雅云晨早也明也釋名云晨申也謂清旦光舒也下知遙反韻英早時也說文旦也從倝舟聲倝音干旦反）。

'Early morning' [晨朝] (The first character has the fanqie shi + ren [chén]. The Erya says: 'Chen means early; it means bright.' The Shiming says: 'Chen means extending, referring to the unfolding light at clear dawn.' The second character has the fanqie zhi + yao [zhāo]. The Yunying says: 'An early time.' The Shuowen says: 'Dawn; it takes gàn [倝] and zhōu [舟] as phonetic; gàn [倝] is pronounced with the fanqie gān + dàn').
