涕泣（上他禮反上聲字玉篇云目淚也若作剃音鼻汁非也泣欽立反無聲淚出也）。

'Shedding tears and weeping' [涕泣] (The first character has the fanqie ta + li [tì], a falling-tone character. The Yupian says: 'Tears from the eyes.' If pronounced tì meaning nasal mucus, that is incorrect. Qì 泣 has the fanqie qin + li [qì], meaning weeping without sound with tears flowing).
