Mountain goblins (for the first character, the fanqie is 亾 [w-] + 往 [-ang]; for the second, 力 [l-] + 掌 [-ang]; the Shuowen writes it as 𧈿蜽; the Tongsu wen says: "monsters and spirits of wood and stone"; the Huainanzi says: "Their form resembles a three-year-old child, reddish-black, with red eyes, red claws, long ears, and fine hair; they are ghosts of drowned persons").
