諂曲（上丑冉反佞也說文作讇同莊周云希其意道其言曰諂玉篇諂諛也傾身似有下也有作讇同）。

Flattering and crooked (諂曲): The upper character is chouran [fanqie]; sycophantic. The Shuowen writes it as 讇, identical. Zhuang Zhou says: "Following another's wishes and speaking their words is called flattery (chǎn)." The Yupian says: "Chǎn means sycophancy; bowing one's body as if humbling oneself." Also written as 讇, identical.
