此苦難處（難奴于反處音昌與反詩云莫我遑處傳曰處居也禮記何以處我鄭玄曰處安也謂難可安處或二皆去音謂苦難處所也）。

此苦難處 (This place of bitter suffering / Difficult to dwell in this suffering; 難 is nú-yú fanqie [nán]. 處 is chāng-yǔ fanqie [chǔ]. The Classic of Poetry says: "None gives me leisure to dwell (chǔ)." The commentary says: "Chǔ means to reside." The Book of Rites says: "How will you settle (chǔ) me?" Zheng Xuan says: "Chǔ means to make tranquil." It means difficult to find a peaceful dwelling in. Or both characters may be read in the departing tone [nàn chù], meaning a place of bitter hardship).
