Luxuriant blossom (芬葩; the upper character is fanqie 麩文; Zheng's gloss on the *Mao Shi* says: "*Fenfen* means fragrant." Guo's commentary on the *Fangyan* says: "*Fen* means harmoniously tuned fragrance." The *Shuowen* states: "It has the grass radical and is phonetic in *fen*." The lower character is fanqie 拍巴; the *Shenglei* says: "The people of Qin call a flower *pa*; it has the grass radical and is phonetic in 皅; 皅 sounds the same as above").
