舟航（上舟字說文𦨣也刳木為舟以濟不通象形字下鶴剛反毛詩傳渡船也方言云自關而東謂濟渡為航說文從方作斻從舟元聲元音岡也）。

Boats and vessels (舟航: for the upper character, the *Shuowen jiezi* says: "A craft; hollowing out wood to make a boat so as to cross what is impassable." It is a pictograph. For the lower character, *hè* - *gāng* fanqie [*háng*]. The *Mao Shi Commentary* says: "A ferry-boat." The *Fangyan* says: "East of the Pass, ferrying across is called *háng*." The *Shuowen jiezi* takes the radical 方 as 斻; taking the radical 舟 'boat' with 元 *gāng* phonetic; the sound of 元 is 岡 [*gāng*]).
