昞著（上兵皿反廣雅[耳*丙]明也聲類從火作昺並通古今正字從日丙聲下張慮反顧野王云著猶顯也鄭注禮記者明白也從草者聲也）。

Clearly evident (for the former [character 昞], bing + min fan; the *Guangya* says: "*Bing* means bright"; the *Shenglei* writes it with 'fire' (火) as 昺; both are acceptable; the *Gujin zhengzi* writes it with 'sun' (日) and bing (丙) as phonetic; for the latter [character 著], zhang + lü fan; Gu Yewang says: "*Zhu* is like manifest"; Zheng [Xuan]'s commentary on the *Liji* says: "It means clear and distinct; it is formed with 'grass' (艹) and zhe (者) as phonetic").
