測𣊹（上初力反鄭注周禮云測度也不知水之廣深曰測故從水則聲下音良說文正體從童作𣊹經作量訛也）。

Gauging and measuring (for the former [character 測], chu + li fan; Zheng [Xuan]'s commentary on the *Rites of Zhou* says: "*Ce* means to estimate; not knowing the breadth and depth of water is called *ce*; hence it is formed with 'water' (水) and ze (則) as phonetic"; the latter [character 𣊹] is pronounced liang; the correct standard form in the *Shuowen* is written with tong (童) as 𣊹; writing it as 量 in the sūtra is an error).
