翫閱（上午貫反杜注左傳云翫習也說文從習元聲下緣雪反毛詩云我躬不閱也文字典說文云積伐曰閱也從門從兌聲也）。

Studying and perusing (for the former [character 翫], wu + guan fan; Du [Yu]'s commentary on the *Zuo zhuan* says: "*Wan* means to practice repeatedly"; the *Shuowen* says: "It is formed with 'practice' (習) and yuan (元) as phonetic"; for the latter [character 閱], yuan + xue fan; the *Mao Poetry* says: "My person is not inspected"; the *Wenjian dianshuo* says: "Accumulating merits is called *yue*; it is formed with 'gate' (門) and dui (兌) as phonetic").
