嬾墮（上勒偘反𦒱聲不勤也說文懈怠也從女賴聲也頼字從負刺聲也經從心作懶雖訛亦通下徒臥反廣雅墮嬾也說文不敬也從心隋聲古作𢞑）。

嬾墮 (Lazy and remiss: The upper character has the fanqie 勒偘 [lǎn]. The Kaosheng says: 'Not diligent.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'Indolent; derived from 女 [woman] with the sound 賴.' The character 賴 is derived from 負 with the sound 剌. The sūtra text writes it with the mind [radical] as 懶; though corrupt, it is also accepted. The lower character has the fanqie 徒臥 [duò]. The Guangya says: '墮 means lazy.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'Disrespectful; derived from 心 [mind] with the sound 隋.' Anciently written 𢞑).
