慳恡（上口間反廣雅愛財也下隣信反廣雅恡鄙也字書貪惜也韻英云慳恡固惜也或作𧵧遴古文作𰐪吝判音慳瞎反也）。

Miserly and stingy (慳恡: the first character, kou [口] + jian [間] fan. The Guangya says: “Lover of wealth.” The second character, lin [隣] + xin [信] fan. The Guangya says: “恡 means mean.” The Zishu says: “Greedy and begrudging.” The Yunying says: “慳恡 means stubbornly begrudging.” Also written as 𧵧 or 遴; in ancient script written as 𰐪 or 吝. The Pan pronunciation for 慳 is xia [瞎] fan).
