眾喻（上終中反說文眾多也從乑眾立也從目眾意也乑音吟下翼注反俗字也正從言作諭鄭注周禮云告曉也蒼頡篇譬諫也說文從言俞聲）。

眾喻 (multitude of analogies; the former is zhong/zhong fan; Shuowen jiezi says: '眾 means numerous; composed of 乑, meaning many standing together, and 目, conveying the sense of a multitude'; 乑 is pronounced yin; the latter is yi/zhu fan, a vulgar character; the correct form has radical 言 as 諭; Zheng's commentary on the Rites of Zhou says: 'To proclaim and enlighten'; the Cang Jie Pian says: 'To illustrate and admonish'; Shuowen jiezi says: 'Composed of 言 with 俞 phonetic').
