死屍（音尸集訓云人死曰屍禮記云死者在床曰屍在棺曰死柩音舊從匚從久也）。

死屍 (corpse; pronounced shi; Jixun says: 'A dead human is called 屍'; the Book of Rites says: 'The dead on a bed is called a corpse (屍); in a coffin it is called a deceased (死/柩)'; 柩 is pronounced jiu, composed of 匚 with 久).
