Ruin and destruction (沮壞: the first character has the fanqie qing-yu; the Mao Commentary on the Classic of Poetry states that 沮 also means to be ruined; the Shuowen states that it is formed from 'water' [水] with 自 as phonetic; the sūtra writes it as 爼; 爼 and 豆 are ritual vessels, not the meaning here in the sūtra).
