Polishing and wiping (瑩拭: the first character has the fanqie niao-jiong; the Kaosheng states that 瑩 means bringing forth the luster of an implement or object; the Guangya states that it means to polish, referring to polishing gems and jade to make them radiant; the Shuowen states that it is formed from 'jade' [玉] with 熒 as phonetic).
