謦欬（上輕珽反蒼頡篇云謦聲也說文謦亦欬也從言殸聲殸音口莖反經作磬非也下開愛反顧野王云欬亦嗽也說文氣逆也從欠亥聲也）。

Coughing and clearing the throat (謦欬: the first character has the fanqie qing-ting; the Cangjiepian states that 謦 is a sound; the Shuowen states that 謦 also means to clear the throat, formed from 'speech' [言] with 殸 as phonetic; 殸 has the fanqie kou-jing; the sūtra writes it as 磬, which is incorrect; the second character has the fanqie kai-ai; Gu Yewang states that 欬 also means to cough; the Shuowen states that it is an adverse ascent of qi, formed from 'yawn' [欠] with 亥 as phonetic).
