胞胎（上飽茅反孔注尚書云包裹也司馬彪注莊子云胞腹內兒衣也兒生裹衣也下他來反廣雅云三月為胎顧野王云未生在腹為胎說文婦孕三月也從肉台聲）。

胞胎 (bāo tāi: the upper is bǎo-máo fanqie. Kong's commentary on the Shangshu says: 'Enveloping.' Sima Biao's commentary on the Zhuangzi says: 'Bāo is the child's garment inside the belly; the garment that wraps the child at birth.' The lower is tā-lái fanqie. The Guangya says: 'At three months it is tāi.' Gu Yewang says: 'Unborn in the belly, it is tāi.' The Shuowen says: 'A woman's pregnancy at three months.' It is derived from 肉 (flesh) with 台 as phonetic).
