斫𢧵（上章若反考聲云以刃斫也廣雅斫斷也說文從斤石聲下錢節反毛詩傳云𢧵治也說文𢧵亦斷也從戈雀聲經作截俗字也）。

斫𢧵 (the first syllable: fanqie: 章 + 若; the Kaosheng says: 'To chop with a blade.' The Guangya says: '斫 means to sever; derived from 斤 (axe) with 石 as phonetic.' The second syllable: fanqie: 錢 + 節; the Mao commentary on the Shijing says: '𢧵 means to govern.' The Shuowen says: '𢧵 also means to sever; derived from 戈 (halberd) with 雀 as phonetic.' The sūtra text writes 截, which is a vulgar character).
