該洞（上改來反賈注國語云該備也方言咸也說文以兼備之也從言亥聲下同貢反顧野王云洞謂深𨗉之皃也說文從水同聲）。

[Comprehensive and deep] (The first character has the fanqie of 改 [k-] and 來 [-ɑi]: Jia's commentary on the *Guoyu* says, "'Gāi' (該) means complete." The *Fangyan* says, "It means all." The *Shuowen jiezi* says, "To possess completely; it is formed from 'speech' (言) and the 'hài' (亥) phonetic." The second character has the fanqie of 同 [d-] and 貢 [-uŋ]: Gu Yewang says, "'Dòng' (洞) describes the appearance of being deep and thorough." The *Shuowen jiezi* says, "It is formed from 'water' (水) and the 'tóng' (同) phonetic").
