酖醉（上荅南反考聲云酖愛酒不已也說文從酉冘聲冘音淫經從身作耽耽嗜也亦通此酖醉二字是第四頭或有本被傳寫人於第三卷尾寫出從尒時大樹緊那羅王請佛供養向後一十七行半）。

酖醉 [Indulged in drunkenness] (The upper character is fanqie 荅 + 南 [dān]. The Kaosheng says: '酖 means craving alcohol without ceasing.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'It has the radical 酉 and the phonetic 冘; 冘 is pronounced 淫 [yín].' In the scripture it is written with the body radical as 耽; 耽 means to be addicted, which is also acceptable. These two characters 酖醉 are at the beginning of the fourth fascicle; however, in some editions copyists added them at the end of the third fascicle, beginning from seventeen and a half lines after 'At that time the Kinnara King Mahādruma requested the Buddha to accept offerings.')
