懷孕 [Conceiving a child] (The lower character is fanqie 蠅 + 甑 [yùn]. The Kaosheng says: '孕 means carrying a fetus.' Zheng's commentary on the Book of Rites says: '孕 means pregnant with child.' The Guangya says: '懷 means 㑗 [pregnant].' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'It has the radical 子 and the phonetic 乃.' 㑗 is pronounced 身 [shēn]).
