醫者（上倚箕反廣雅云醫巫也說文治病功也醫意也醫之為姓然得酒而使藥故醫字從酉是古酒字也周禮古者巫彭初作醫從巫亦通殹音伊計反）。

醫者 [Physician] (The upper character is fanqie 倚 + 箕 [yī]. The Guangya says: '醫 means a shaman-healer.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'The skill of curing illness; 醫 means intention (意). When 醫 serves as a surname, it obtains alcohol and administers medicine; hence the character 醫 has the radical 酉, which is the ancient character for alcohol. The Rites of Zhou states that in antiquity the shaman Peng first practiced medicine, so writing it with the shaman radical 巫 is also acceptable.' The phonetic component 殹 is fanqie 伊 + 計 [yī]).
