鬭構（得候反蒼頡篇鬬爭也杜注左傳云遇也說文云兩相遇即鬬從鬥從斲經文從門從㪷作𮤟誤也下古候反韓詩構亂也考聲云結架也說文從木冓聲冓音鈎經文作遘義別也斲音丁角反鬥音丁候反也）。

Quarreling and instigating (鬭構: the upper character [鬭] has the fanqie phonetic [dou] (得候反). The Cangjiepian states: "鬭 means to contend." Du Yu's commentary to the Zuo zhuan states: "It means to encounter." The Shuowen jiezi states: "When two meet each other, they fight; derived from the fighting radical (鬥) and 斲." The scripture text writes it with the gate radical (門) and 㪷 as 𮤟, which is an error. The lower character [構] has the fanqie phonetic [gou] (古候反). The Han commentary to the Book of Songs states: "構 means disorder." The Kaosheng states: "To erect a framework." The Shuowen jiezi states: "Derived from the wood radical (木) with the phonetic marker [gou] (冓); 冓 has the sound [gou] (鈎)." The scripture text writes it as 遘, which has a distinct meaning. 斲 has the fanqie phonetic [zhuo] (丁角反); 鬥 has the fanqie phonetic [dou] (丁候反)).
