荐臻（上前薦反毛詩云荐重也再也杜注左傳云仍也數也藂也古今正字從艸存聲下櫛詵反尒雅云臻至也毛詩云乃也說文從至秦聲者也）。

Arriving repeatedly (荐臻) (The first character has the fanqie qian + jian. The Mao Shi says: “Jian (荐) means double; repeated.” Du’s commentary on the Zuo zhuan says: “It means repeatedly; frequently; clustered.” The Gujin zhengzi states: “It is formed from the ‘grass’ classifier and the phonetic cun (存).” The second character has the fanqie jie + shen. The Erya says: “Zhen (臻) means to arrive.” The Mao Shi says: “It means then.” The Shuowen says: “It is formed from the semantic classifier zhi (至) and the phonetic qin (秦)”).
