妙鍵（乾偃反上聲字也鄭注周禮云鍵壯也方言自關而東陳楚之間謂鑰為鍵考聲云車鎋也說文鍵鉉也從金建聲也）。

妙鍵 (fanqie: 乾偃, rising-tone character. Zheng's commentary to the Zhouli says: "A key (鍵) means sturdy." The Fangyan says: "From the Pass eastward, between Chen and Chu, they call a key (鑰) a 鍵." Kaosheng says: "A linchpin of a carriage." Shuowen jiezi: "A 鍵 is a vessel's handle; semantic metal, phonetic 建").
