媿恧（上鬼位反杜注左傳云媿慙也博雅媿耻也說文從女鬼聲或從心作愧下女六反方言恧慚也山之東西自愧曰恧小尒雅云心愧為恧說文亦慚也從心而聲也）。

媿恧 (The first character has the fanqie 鬼位. Du's commentary to the Zuozhuan says: "媿 means ashamed." Boya: "媿 means shame." Shuowen jiezi: semantic 女, phonetic 鬼; sometimes with semantic 心 written as 愧. The second character has the fanqie 女六. Fangyan: "恧 means ashamed; east and west of the mountains, self-shame is called 恧." Xiao Erya says: "Shame in the heart is 恧." Shuowen jiezi also says: "Ashamed; semantic 心, phonetic 而").
