紫紺（甘暗反孔注論語云紺者齊服盛色以為餙也說文帛染青而赤也謂之紺從糸甘聲）。

Purplish-blue (紫紺; *gan* + *an* [gàn]; Kong's commentary on the *Analects* says: "紺 is the fine color of garments for purification, used for ornamentation." The *Shuowen jiezi* says: "Silk dyed blue with red undertones is called 紺; it has the silk radical and the *gan* sound").
