Soft grass (耎草; the first character is *er* + *yan* [ruǎn]; Zheng Zhong says: "耎 refers to the 耎 of soft and supple." The *Boya* says: "耎 means weak." The *Shuowen jiezi* says it has 而 and the *dà* sound).
