關𨷲（上古環反說文以木撗持門戶所以闔閉扇謂之關擔者也從門𢇇聲𢇇音同上𢇇字從𢆶從丱𢆶音幻虬反丱音古患反經文從𭆚作關非下羊灼反顧野王云所以封固關令不可開也國語云請委管𨷲是也說文從門龠聲龠音同上經作鑰亦通也）。

Bar and latch (關𨷲; the first character is *gu* + *huan* [guān]; the *Shuowen jiezi* says: "Using wood horizontally to hold a doorway shut and keep the leaf closed is called a 關 bar; it derives from gate and the 𢇇 sound; 𢇇 has the same pronunciation as above, and derives from 𢆶 and 丱; 𢆶 is pronounced *huàn* + *qiú* [wān], and 丱 is pronounced *gǔ* + *huàn* [kuàng]." The sūtra text writes 關 with 𭆚, which is incorrect. The second character is *yang* + *zhuo* [yuè]; Gu Yewang says: "That by which a bar is locked tight so that it cannot be opened; the *Guoyu* says: 'Please deposit the keys and latches,' which is this." The *Shuowen jiezi* says it has the gate radical and the *yuè* sound; 龠 has the same sound as above; the sūtra writes 鑰, which is also acceptable).
