薄蝕 (lower: *zying* + *tsyik* [shí]: The *Kaosheng* says: 'To encroach upon; an eclipse of the sun or moon is also a gradual encroachment.' The *Spring and Autumn Annals* says: 'The sun underwent an eclipse (𧐂).' The *Shuowen jiezi* says: 'Follows the insect radical and the radical *sì* (飤); 飤 is pronounced *sì*').
