Kōngwán (空刓, uselessly carving down) (also written as 因, same; wǔ + huán [wán] fanqie. The Guangya says: 'Wán means to cut off.' The Chuci says: 'Carving the square into a circle.' Wang Yi says: 'Wán means to pare down.').
