烝煮（上之仍反說文烝謂火氣上行也從火氶聲也經從艸作蒸誤也下諸汝反說文煮猶烹也濩也從火者聲經從水作[泳-永+(者/火)]非也）。

烝煮 [Steam and boil]: The first [character] is fanqie 之 (zhi) + 仍 (reng) [MC: *t͡ɕĭəŋ]. The Shuowen jiezi states: '烝 (zheng) refers to fire-vapor moving upwards. Formed from 火 (fire) with the phonetic 氶 (cheng).' In the sūtra it is written with 艸 as 蒸, which is an error. The second [character] is fanqie 諸 (zhu) + 汝 (ru) [MC: *t͡ɕĭwǒ]. The Shuowen jiezi states: '煮 (zhu) is like cooking (烹); to simmer. Formed from 火 (fire) with the phonetic 者 (zhe).' In the sūtra it is written with 水 as [泳-永+(者/火)], which is incorrect.
