Naked form (luoxing; the upper character is hua-wa fan, a character of the 𠎥 phonetic; its original sound is lu-guo fan. Gu Yewang says: "Luo means stripping off clothes and baring oneself." The Shuowen jiezi says: "Luo likewise means stripping off clothes and exposing the body. It is analyzed with the person classifier and guo phonetic." It is sometimes written as 裸, also as 躶, or also as 臝; the glyph variants are somewhat numerous. Here, relying on the Shuowen jiezi, it is written with the person classifier as 倮; the rest are not used).
