Towers and turrets (loulu; the upper character is lou-gou fan. The Erya says: "Narrow, long, and winding is called a lou." The Wenzi jilüe says: "A lou is a defensive building atop a city wall." The Gujin zhengzi states: "It takes the wood classifier and lou as phonetic." The lower character is lu-gu fan. The Wenzi jilüe says: "A lu is an open defensive position atop a city wall without a covering roof." The Shuowen jiezi states: "It takes the wood classifier and lu as phonetic." The pronunciation of the lou classifier is the same as above).
