綜攝（上子宋反列女傳織可以喻治政推持絲而往引而來者曰綜說文機縷交者也從糸宗聲也）。

To synthesize and encompass (綜攝: the first character has the fanqie [zi] + [song]. The Lienü zhuan says: 'Weaving can illustrate governing: pushing forward and holding the threads, drawing them to and fro, is called 綜 [zòng].' The Shuowen says: 'That by which loom-threads interlace; it derives from 糸 [silk] with 宗 [zōng] phonetic.').
