無明㲉（苦角反桂苑珠藂云鳥卵皮㲉也喻無明含藏煩惱猶如鳥卵㲉也從卵殼聲也）。

Eggshell of ignorance (無明㲉) (ku + jiao fan. The Guiyuan zhucan states: "An eggshell of a bird's egg." It is a metaphor for ignorance containing and concealing the defilements, just as a bird's eggshell does. Composed with "egg" [卵] semantic and "shell" [殼] phonetic).
