幔幕（上滿半反考聲云幔帷也廣雅帷張覆也說文亦幕也從巾曼聲曼音萬經文從糸作縵非此用也下忙博反廣雅幕帳也說文帷在上曰幕幕猶覆也從巾莫聲也）。

幔幕 (The upper character is pronounced with the fanqie 滿半 [màn]. The Kaosheng says: "A 幔 is a hanging screen (帷)." The Guangya says: "A screen spread over as a canopy." The Shuowen also says: "A curtain. Analyzed as semantic 巾 and phonetic 曼." 曼 has the sound 萬 [màn]. The sūtra text writes it with 糸 as 縵, which is not suitable here. The lower character is pronounced with the fanqie 忙博 [mù]. The Guangya says: "A 幕 is a tent canopy." The Shuowen says: "A curtain placed above is called 幕; 幕 is like a cover. Analyzed as semantic 巾 and phonetic 莫.")
