有愧生慚（上軌位反下徂含反說文愧亦慚也禮記曰君子不以其所能者而病於人不以人之所不能者而愧於人廣雅慚恥也爾雅愧亦慚也說文作愧或作謉聭二體皆古字也）。

有愧生慚 (The first character has the fanqie: 軌位; the second character has the fanqie: 徂含. The Shuowen says: "Kui (愧) also means ashamed." The Liji says: "The exemplary person does not distress others with what he is capable of, nor does he cause others to feel ashamed with what they are incapable of." The Guangya says: "Can (慚) means shame." The Erya says: "Kui also means ashamed." The Shuowen writes it as 愧, or as 謉 or 聭; both forms are ancient characters).
