醎味（上陷巖反時用俗字也廣雅北方水味也爾雅醎苦也說文正體從鹵作鹹形聲字也）。

Salty taste (醎味: the first character, xian [陷] + yan [巖] fan; a vulgar character in current use. The Guangya says: “The taste of water in the north.” The Erya says: “醎 means bitter.” The standard form in the Shuowen is formed from brine [鹵] as 鹹, a phonogram).
