翹勤（上祇遙反爾雅翹危也考聲舉也說文尾長毛也從羽堯聲也下近銀反毛萇詩傳云勤勞也考聲不倦說文勞也從力堇聲也音謹前聖教序已釋也）。

翹勤 (The first character has the fanqie: 祇遙. The Erya says: "Qiao (翹) means perilous." The Kaosheng says: "To raise up." The Shuowen says: "Long tail feathers. It takes the feather radical with the phonetic yao (堯)." The second character has the fanqie: 近銀. Mao Chang's commentary on the Odes says: "Qin (勤) means toil." The Kaosheng says: "Untiring." The Shuowen says: "Labour; it takes the strength radical with the phonetic jin (堇)." The sound is jin (謹). It has already been explained in the Shengjiao xu).
