Vicious faction [兇黨] (xu + yong fan [xiong]. The Kaosheng says: 'Xiong means evil.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'It takes the 'person' radical below xiong.' Dang is dang + lang fan [dang]. The Kaosheng says: 'Dang means category.' Both characters have already been explained in the fourth fascicle of the previous sūtra.)
