Restlessness [掉舉] (the upper character is ting + diao fan [diao]. The Yunying says: 'Diao means to move.' The Guangya says: 'To shake.' The Kaosheng says: 'To agitate.' Also written as 杓. The lower character is jiang + yu fan [ju]. The Shuowen jiezi says: 'It takes the 'hand' radical and yu phonetic.' Fully explained in the eighth fascicle of the previous sūtra.)
