Confused and disturbed (紛擾: the upper character [紛] is pronounced *f[u]* + *[w]en* [fēn]; the character *fen* was glossed in Preface 1 of the preceding sūtra. The lower character [擾] is pronounced *[e]r* + *[zh]ao* [rǎo]; the character *rao* was glossed in fascicle 3 of the preceding sūtra).
