不憚（彈旦反鄭箋毛詩云憚難也韓詩畏也集訓辭也蒼頡篇驚也說文疾也從心單聲也）。

Not shrinking from (不憚: [憚 is] pronounced *d[an]* + *[d]an* [dàn]. Zheng [Xuan]'s commentary to the Mao *Odes* says: "*Dan* means hard to face." The Han school *Odes* says: "To fear." The *Jixun* says: "To decline." The *Cang Jie pian* says: "Startled." The *Shuowen [jiezi]* says: "Distressed." It is classified under heart (心) with *dan* (單) phonetic).
