鞔䋄(上莫盤反鄭注周禮云草路鞔也廣雅補也下武昉反此言如來十指之間猶如羅網也易曰庖𦏁氏結繩為䋄說文作𱻆古字也亦單作冈象形字也)。
Webbed membrane (鞔䋄: the upper character [鞔] is pronounced *m[o]* + *[p]an* [mán]. Zheng [Xuan]'s commentary to the *Zhouli* says: "Grass sandal covering is called *man*." The *Guangya* says: "To patch." The lower character [䋄] is pronounced *w[u]* + *[f]ang* [wǎng]. This refers to the webbed membranes between the Tathāgata's ten fingers, resembling a net. The *Yijing* says: "Baoxi knotted cord to make nets (䋄)." The *Shuowen [jiezi]* writes it as 𱻆, an ancient character; it is also written simply as 冈, a pictographic character).
