綺畫（欺紀反范子計然云綺出齊郡今出吳越下華罵反爾雅畫形象也郭璞曰圖畫者所以作形象也字書本無此字假借畫字用也）。

Brocade patterns (綺畫: [綺 is] pronounced *q[i]* + *[j]i* [qǐ]. *Fanzi jiran* says: "Damask silk is produced in Qi commandery; now it is produced in Wu and Yue." The lower character [畫] is pronounced *h[ua]* + *[m]a* [huà]. The *Erya* says: "To draw (畫) means to delineate forms." Guo Pu says: "Pictures and paintings are that by which forms are depicted." Character books originally did not have this character, using the character 畫 as a phonetic loan).
