晃燿（上黃廣反廣雅暉也考聲云日光也亦作晄說文明也從日光聲下姚照反廣雅燿照也韻英曰光明也或作曜亦通說文從火作燿有從光作耀俗字非正也）。

Dazzling and radiant (晃燿: the upper character [晃] is pronounced *h[uang]* + *[g]uang* [huǎng]. The *Guangya* says: "Brilliance." The *Kaosheng* says: "Sunlight." It is also written 晄. The *Shuowen [jiezi]* says: "Bright." It is classified under sun (日) with *guang* (光) phonetic. The lower character [燿] is pronounced *y[ao]* + *[zh]ao* [yào]. The *Guangya* says: "*Yao* means to shine." The *Yunying* says: "Radiant light." It is also written 曜, which is also acceptable. The *Shuowen [jiezi]* has it classified under fire (火) as 燿; writing it with light (光) as 耀 is a vulgar character, not the standard form).
