Embracing curvature (擁曲: [擁 is] pronounced *y[ong]* + *[g]ong* [yǒng]. Zheng [Xuan]'s commentary to the *Yili* says: "*Yong* means to embrace." The *Kaosheng* says: "To hold; to protect." The character books say: "To screen." The *Shuowen [jiezi]* says it is classified under hand (手) with *yong* (雍) phonetic; the standard ancient form was written 𢹭).
